Welcome to our website! I hope you find some useful information here and get to know us a little better.  The best way to get a feel for Montgomery Presbyterian is to come on a Sunday morning as we worship and fellowship together.  As a smaller church, the question is not so much what we are doing but who we are.  And we are children of God and followers of Jesus Christ.  Every day we try to live into and up to that identity by God's grace, love, and mercy.  No matter how well we do in this pursuit, God loves us still, and that is the kind of love we try to show each other.
← Rev. Craig Pope

I have been blessed to be the pastor at MPC since June of 2009.  I grew up just down the coast on St. Simons Island, and have lived in Rome, Georgia, Nashville, Tennessee, and Princeton, New Jersey, on my circular journey back to coastal Georgia.  I love the marsh and the live oaks, the mild winters and the common decency toward others that makes Savannah a great place to live.

I am married to Ashley, a writer, poet, musician, lover of books and middle school english teacher-in-training.  We have two wonderful and energetic sons, Benjamin and William. I like to run in the morning, watch documentaries, drink good coffee, listen to good music, watch/yell at the Braves, get out in nature, play with my family and generally see what surprises life has to offer each day.
