Mortgage Burning Party 2010
The 20 year mortgage to pay off repairs and rennovations to the Sanctuary and Turner Building were completed in five and one half years. 65 payments, nearly 15 years ahead of schedule. Thank you to all who made this possible with God's help.
Elders burn old mortgage papers.
The elders who were part of the session meetings to rennovate the building set fire to the old mortgage papers in a ceremony on February 28, 2010 nearly 15 years ahead of schedule.
Through many generous donations, fundraisers and dedicated efforts, Montgomery Presbyterian Church was enlarged to accomodate more people without losing the quaintness and historical significance of a small town church that has been around for longer than most of the people who attend it.

The cake says it all. Twenty year old mortgage paid off in 5 1/2 years.
