| And now, the announcements . . . Week of June 30th, 2008 |
| The PW is sponsoring a food collection project during July to benefit America's Second Harvest Food Bank. The food bank is struggling to keep enough food on hand to handle the ever-increasing demand. Second Harvest has noted that families who used to donate to the food bank are now recipients. The Presbyterian Women will be collecting non-perishable food items during the Month of July. Please bring your donations and place them in the narthex. Would you like to provide food, fellowship or fun to families in need? Our Interfaith Hospitality guests will be coming the week of July 13th. The sign-up sheet has been circulating during worship service over the last several Sundays. There are still openings for evening and overnight hosts - please prayerfully consider if you might be the person that can help in these capacities. Teens, are you interested in playing games with the children? If so, 7 - 8:30 p.m. would be a great time for play any day of the week. Have questions? Feel free to call Ann Shuman, 352-0978, or Kit Miller, 356-0231. MPC will be ordering more bricks for the Memory Garden if there is enough interest. Bricks are $50 each and can be purchased in honor or memory of loved ones. If you are interested, order forms are available in the Narthex. Please give to Bob English upon completion. Attention All Adults and Teens! There is a new Children's Message sign-up sheet in the narthex. This is a wonderful way to connect with our younger members and leave them with an encouraging message that can help carry them through the week to the next Sunday. Sign-up today! Flowers Needed for the Sanctuary Flowers can be placed in celebration of birthdays, anniversaries, achievements, graduations, etc. or in memory of loved ones. Sometimes they are placed to glorify God. Regardless, they always help to beautify the sanctuary and when worship is over, they can beautify your home or the home of one of our shut-ins. Sign up today! Drivers Wanted! Looking for a meaningful mission? Do you have a safe driving record and a serviceable vehicle? The American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program needs people to drive cancer patients to and from appointments. The hours are extremely flexible! Even if you can't drive, but are willing to make a few phone calls or send out a few e-mails to coordinate drivers with patients, your help would be greatly appreciated. For more information, please contact the Road to Recovery Coordinator, Jim Hazel at 598-7596 (home), 655-6327 (cell) or e-mail at Golfingjim@comcast.net. Thank you!!!

| Parents of Small Children! There are worship bags in the Narthex for your little ones. This is a great way to enrich your child's worship experience with a variety of Christ centered activities. Going in the hospital? Know of someone in the hospital? A deacon would like to visit. Contact Susie Conley. |
